This setting of the Kyrie Paschale by Laurentius Vorda is ideal for Eastertide services. Scored for STTB choir, it features the traditional Greek text. The Kyrie, one of the oldest parts of the Christian liturgy, forms the opening of the Mass. Vorda's composition invites the choir to convey the plea for mercy inherent in the 'Kyrie eleison' (Lord, have mercy) and 'Christe eleison' (Christ, have mercy), creating a prayerful atmosphere suitable for congregational reflection during the Easter season and beyond.
