For Catholic choirs, Holy Week is the summit of the liturgical year, and this collection gathers the essential Latin chants that carry us through those sacred days. The sheet opens with the triumphant "Hosanna Filio David" and "Pueri Hebraeorum," the traditional antiphons sung as the congregation processes with palms, echoing the crowds in Jerusalem.
As the week deepens, the music shifts to the profound solemnity of the Triduum. For Holy Thursday's Mass of the Lord's Supper, we find the beautiful Introit "Nos Autem" and the timeless "Ubi Caritas," reminding us that where charity and love are found, God is there. The stark, reverent "Ecce Lignum" (Behold the wood of the Cross) is provided for the veneration on Good Friday.
