Easter Eucharist by Christopher Hampson — Lyrics
Gloria/Song of Praise
Sing praise to God the Father,
sing praise to God the Song
and sing praise to God the Spirit,
Alleluia.
Christ rose up from the grave,
so God, the world, might save.
Alleluia.
Sanctus

About Easter Eucharist
Christopher Hampson's Easter Eucharist is a setting of the Mass in English for SATB choir. The Gloria, or Song of Praise, celebrates the Holy Trinity with jubilant Alleluias and proclaims Christ's resurrection as the means of salvation. The Sanctus, with its traditional acclamations of Holy, Holy, Holy and Hosanna, leads into the Fraction Anthem. This anthem, set to the words Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us, therefore let us keep the feast, encapsulates the joyful theme of Easter and the commemorative nature of the feast. This sacred work is suitable for Easter services, offering a vibrant musical expression of the liturgical texts.
