About Dilexisti justitiam
The interplay of the four upper voices in Francisco Valls' motet Dilexisti justitiam creates a rich and resonant texture. The composer sets a Latin text, drawing from the Psalms, that speaks of God's anointing of a righteous one. The music reflects the celebratory and devotional nature of the words, with the soaring lines and harmonic colours supporting the message of divine favour and eternal blessing. This sacred work offers an engaging challenge and rewarding sonority for an accomplished SSST.SAAT choir.
