Diffusa est gratia by Peter Griesbacher — Lyrics
Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis:
propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.
About Diffusa est gratia
Peter Griesbacher's Diffusa est gratia is a sacred motet for two-part choir (SA). The flowing melodic lines of the two voices create a gentle, devotional atmosphere, perfectly suited to the Latin text. The words, drawn from scripture, speak of grace poured upon the lips, and the blessing of God, themes that Griesbacher captures with a clear and resonant musical setting. This piece offers a straightforward yet expressive opportunity for choirs seeking a devotional Latin motet.
