About Beati omnes
Giovanni Bernardo Colombi composed this setting of Psalm 127, Beati omnes, for five-part choir (SATTB). The text, in Latin, is one of the gradual psalms, traditionally sung during the ascent to the Temple in Jerusalem. Its verses speak of the blessings bestowed upon those who fear the Lord, promising a life of labour, familial joy, and enduring prosperity. Colombi’s music reflects the text’s message of domestic happiness and divine favour, offering a devotional setting suitable for liturgical occasions, particularly Vespers.
