About Ave Maria
Angel Embil's Ave Maria is a sacred motet for SATB choir, setting a Latin text. The opening lines, "Have gratia plena, Dominus tecum; benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventris tui," are drawn from the traditional prayer, the Hail Mary. The composer uses the familiar words to create a devotional atmosphere, with the choir's voices blending in rich harmony to reflect the sacred nature of the text. This motet offers a setting of profound reverence and beauty, suitable for liturgical occasions or concerts of sacred music.
