About Ave Maria
Johann Melchior Gletle was a composer of the Baroque era, whose sacred motets often set familiar Latin texts. This Ave Maria is scored for three male voices (BBB) and sets the traditional text of the Hail Mary. The composer's setting emphasizes the devotional nature of the prayer, with the flowing vocal lines mirroring the serene yet profound message of the angelic salutation and the blessing of Mary.
