ANIMA CHRISTI

There is a profound stillness that settles over the church when the choir begins the *Anima Christi*. This ancient Latin prayer of surrender has been a cornerstone of Catholic devotion for generations, and singing it during Communion or Eucharistic Adoration brings a deep sense of intimacy to the liturgy. The melody in this arrangement is gentle and deliberate, moving at an *andante* pace that allows the choir to truly pray the words rather than just perform them.
