ME ZAN BAKA ?

"Me Zan Baka?" is a vibrant Hausa offertory hymn that asks a profound question: "What shall I give you, my Lord and my God?" Composed by Jude Nnam, the piece captures the true spirit of the Offertory procession. It reminds the congregation that while we bring our material gifts to the altar, the most important offering we can make is ourselves.

The verses playfully list the worldly things we might offer—money, houses, cars, and livestock—noting that God could easily reject them all. Instead, the refrain reveals the ultimate gift that brings joy to the Lord: "Zan baka zuciyata da kaunata" (I will give you my heart and my love).
