"Kuci, Kusha" is a deeply reverent Hausa Communion hymn that calls the faithful to the Eucharistic banquet. The title translates to a direct invitation: "Eat and Drink." Right from the opening chorus, the choir sings the central mystery of the Mass—"Ku ci jikinsa, ku sha jininsa abinci ne kyauta" (Eat his body, drink his blood, it is a free gift). It is a gentle reminder for the congregation as they process to the altar, emphasizing that Christ gave Himself freely so that we might find salvation.

The verses beautifully unfold the theology of the Eucharist. They speak of the bread and the chalice of wine ("calis na wain") transforming into the body and blood of Christ, given to the world.
