This motet unfolds the text from Sirach, with the creator instructing the soul to dwell among the chosen and take root in them. Orlando di Lasso sets this profound plea for spiritual rest in a rich SSAATTB and SSAATBarB voicing. The sacred Latin text is treated with a sophisticated harmonic language, characteristic of Lasso's masterful Renaissance motets.
