About In ecclesiis
Giovanni Gabrieli's In ecclesiis is a magnificent motet for double choir, SATB divided into two choirs. Sung in Latin, its text is drawn from the Psalms, invoking praise and supplication to God. The music is conceived for grand spaces, its antiphonal writing and rich harmonies creating a powerful dialogue between the two choirs.
