About Iam delector laude tua
This sacred motet by Ottavio Vernizzi is a vibrant expression of praise, suitable for general occasions or services of thanksgiving. The Latin text, 'Iam delector laude tua', speaks of finding joy in God's praise and a commitment to singing a new song, echoing with the sound of trumpets. Vernizzi’s setting for three sopranos (SSS) masterfully captures the jubilant spirit of the text, allowing the voices to soar with exultation. It is a powerful yet intimate piece, ideal for a treble-voice choir seeking to convey deep spiritual devotion and unbridled gladness.
