This powerful motet for double choir SSAT.ATTB by Melchior Franck sets a dramatic Latin text from the Book of Revelation. The opening phrases vividly paint the scene of a profound silence descending upon heaven as the dragon prepares to battle the Archangel Michael. The music then erupts with the sound of thousands of thousands, magnifying God's power and glory.
