Exultet orbis

Andrea Mattioli's sacred motet Exultet orbis is a jubilant setting of a Latin text celebrating the glory of the apostles. The music opens with joyful exclamations, reflecting the text's theme of the earth and heavens rejoicing. The composer weaves the voices together to create a sense of rising exultation, building towards the final triumphant doxology. The text, likely a Marian antiphon, speaks of healing the mind and increasing virtue, culminating in eternal glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This polyphonic setting, written for a solo voice, offers a powerful and uplifting devotional experience.
