About Domine salvum me fac
The sacred motet Domine salvum me fac is set for two voices, alto and tenor. The Latin text, taken from the Psalms, is a prayer for salvation and for the continuation of praise within the house of the Lord throughout all the days of our lives. Lorenzo Perosi's setting offers a moving musical plea, suitable for liturgical use or as a reflective concert piece. The intimate combination of alto and tenor voices allows for a clear and direct expression of the devotional text, creating a profound atmosphere of supplication and faithfulness.
