About Domine quis habitabit I
Robert White was a leading English composer of sacred polyphony during the Tudor period. This motet, Domine quis habitabit I, is a substantial setting of Psalm 15 in its original Latin. The text, sung here by an SSAATB choir, describes the righteous soul who will dwell with God. It poses a series of questions about who is worthy, and then answers them with a detailed account of the virtuous life – honesty in speech, integrity in dealings, and respect for others.
