About Confitemini Domino
Floriano Canale's Confitemini Domino sets a Latin text of praise and petition. The words call for thanksgiving to God, acknowledging his everlasting mercy, and then turn to a plea for strength and the confounding of enemies, that they might come to know God. This motet is written for a large choir of six voices, SSAATB, offering rich harmonic possibilities. It is a powerful example of sacred choral music, suited for services or concerts where a substantial and devotional work is desired.
