Audite insulae a 8

This grand motet, Audite insulae, is scored for double choir (SATB.SATB), offering a rich and complex sound world. The Latin text, drawn from Isaiah, proclaims God's election and purpose for his servant, calling for all peoples to hear and attend to His will. The music would be particularly fitting for a major feast day or a service focusing on God's universal call to salvation. Balbi’s setting allows for thrilling contrasts and expansive sonorities, making it a powerful statement suitable for a cathedral setting or a large festival choir. The eight-part writing enables dynamic interplay and a majestic portrayal of the prophetic text.
