Anime pellegrine che bramate

About Anime pellegrine
Claudio Saracini's secular madrigal Anime pellegrine speaks of souls yearning for reciprocal love. The text expresses the desire for a union so complete that individual will, hope, and thought become one. It calls for two souls and two hearts to merge into a single entity, where love's only reward is love itself. This single-voice Italian setting captures the intense longing and idealised fusion described in the poem, making it a poignant example of Renaissance part-music adapted for solo performance.
