About Agnus Dei
The Agnus Dei is a profound plea for mercy and peace, sung in Latin as a central part of the liturgy. This setting for SATB choir captures the solemnity and hope inherent in the text. The composer Victor Wilburn crafts a devotional work that allows the voices to swell with supplication and find solace in the promise of peace. It is a powerful exploration of faith, suitable for services and concerts where the deep spiritual resonance of this ancient text can be powerfully conveyed through rich choral harmony.
