Kyrie / Ogo F'Olorun Loke

This score brings together two essential parts of the Mass, beautifully set in two different Nigerian languages. The first movement is a gentle Urhobo Kyrie, "Orovwori na rue don." With its flowing solfa melody and rhythmic repetition, it guides the choir and congregation through a sincere plea for God's mercy during the Penitential Rite.

Following the quiet reflection of the Kyrie, the music transitions into "Ogo F'Olorun Loke," a vibrant Yoruba setting of the Gloria. This movement bursts with praise, calling all creation to give glory to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Lamb, and the Holy Spirit. Together, these pieces offer a wonderful liturgical journey from repentance to exultant joy, making them an excellent pairing for Sunday Mass.
