About Keep Watch, Dear Lord
Suitable for evening services, Crys Armbrust’s Keep Watch, Dear Lord is a prayer for protection and peace throughout the night. The SATB choir is entrusted with a text that petitions God for blessings on a wide range of human experiences: those who work or watch, the sick, the weary, the dying, the suffering, the afflicted, and the joyous. The music offers a thoughtful setting for these heartfelt words, providing a moment of reflection and solace as day turns to night. This sacred anthem is a fitting choice for congregational reflection and prayer, fostering a sense of communal care and divine guardianship.
