About IN CHRIST ALONE
"In Christ Alone" is a modern hymn that has quickly found a deep home in our choir lofts. For many of our singers, it has become a staple for Communion or a powerful reflection piece during the Easter season. The song walks us through the entire story of salvation—from the quiet mystery of the Incarnation in a "helpless babe" to the earth-shaking triumph when "up from the grave he rose again."
What makes this arrangement so moving to sing is how the four verses build in conviction. We start by declaring Christ as our cornerstone and solid ground, finding peace when our own strivings cease. By the time we reach the final verse, the choir is proclaiming absolute confidence: "No guilt in life, no fear in death." It is a profound reminder for the congregation that our destiny is held firmly in His hands, carrying us all the way until He returns or calls us home.
