Huean Jesu

"Huean Jesu" is a deeply reverent Communion hymn composed by Atalakpa Atemere Henry for the Catholic choir at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. Sung in the Esan language, the title translates to a heartfelt invocation of "Holy Jesus," setting a tone of quiet adoration and spiritual intimacy that is perfect for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

During Communion, as the congregation approaches the altar, this piece offers a gentle, prayerful reflection. The lyrics plead for spiritual strength and guidance, asking the Lord to keep us from falling ("Me khe ji mhun de") and acknowledging the Almighty ("Osenobula").
