In the house of God, the house of our Father, we have
gathered for the Holy Sacrifice, where Christ is the Priest and Victim.
VERSE 1
Calvary is here! This is the same sacrifice,
But this, not bloody like on Calvary, yet the same sacrifice.
VERSE 2
One single sacrifice, that of Christ and of the Eucharist;
one and the same victim, Christ, offered now through the priest.
VERSE 3
Holy Sacrifice of the Church sharing in the offering of her Head;
in the Eucharist the Sacrifice of Christ becomes
that of the members of His body.
VERSE 4
Thanksgiving, it is thanksgiving, for the whole of creation.
All that we are, all that we have,
a sacrifice of praise to God the Father.
VERSE 5
This Holy Sacrifice, a communion with the Virgin Mary and the saints;
for the souls in Purgatory, that they may enter into endless bliss.
VERSE 6
Christ is the victim; Christ is the priest;
Christ is the altar. So, it is a perfect Sacrifice.
VERSE 7
We are offering this Sacrifice with Christ, and through Christ,
in union with the Holy Spirit, giving glory to the Father Almighty.
