Gelobt sei Gott

This uplifting anthem by Henry Ley, set for SATB choir, offers a comforting assurance of God's eternal care for all souls, living or departed. The text, by Frederick L. Hosmer, uses the joyous exclamation "Alleluia!" to proclaim trust in God's unchanging providence, even beyond death. Ley's setting, a sacred hymn, builds on this message of steadfast faith, moving from a quiet confidence to a triumphant affirmation of God's presence and the blessedness of those who rest in Him. It is a powerful declaration that fear and doubt have no hold on those held secure within divine love, offering solace and a profound sense of peace.
