1.Brethren, we are here assembled to give honour to our dead;They have travelled East before us, on the path that we now tread.By the square of right they guided, by their points did circumscribe;now our brethren have admitted to the Great Celestial Lodge.
2.Here the golden bowls lie broken, and the silver cords are loosed;See the fountain's pitchers broken, and the cistern's wheels are loosed.Here the arms the breast are crossing, and our hands to God we raiseto commend our fallen brethren to the Great Celestial Lodge.
