About French Noel Doxology 2
A joyful celebration of the Nativity, French Noel Doxology 2 is suitable for Christmas services and concerts. The text praises Christ, the incarnate Word, God made flesh, and expresses humble thanks for his birth. It then asks Jesus to come into our hearts and fill us with his holy light, questioning how his love may be repaid. The SATB voicing allows for rich harmonic textures to support this devotional message. Thurlow Weed's setting offers a straightforward and accessible way to convey the text's profound meaning through congregational singing or choir performance.
