About For as many of you
Written for a large choir, this sacred anthem sets an English text drawn from the New Testament and Psalms. The opening antiphon, from Galatians, speaks of spiritual rebirth through baptism, proclaiming a new identity in Christ. This is followed by verses from Psalm 29, which magnificently describes the awesome power of God's voice, likening it to thunder and the breaking of cedars. The composer uses the substantial forces of SSATTBB to create a rich and sonorous setting that reflects the grandeur of the text, making it suitable for significant occasions within a liturgical context.
