Ecos de la quintana

This vibrant SATB setting of Ecos de la quintana brings to life a Spanish folk song with infectious energy. The composer, Sergio Domingo, crafts a delightful interplay between the voices, creating a rich and engaging texture. The lyrics speak of a gentle encounter by the fountain at dawn, where a suitor awaits his beloved. There's a touch of playful folklore, too, as the text mentions a mythical 'xana' and asks if the beloved might be this enchanting water spirit. The music reflects this spirit, with lively rhythms and a melody that captures the joy and romance of the folk tradition. It is a spirited and charming piece that would be a wonderful addition to any concert programme.
