Domine quinque talenta by Francisco Valls — Lyrics
Domine quinque talenta mihi tradidisti ecce alia quinque superlucratus sum.
About Domine quinque talenta
Francisco Valls composed this sacred motet for SSAT choir. It is written in Latin and falls into the genre of canons, a form of contrapuntal composition where one voice imitates another. The text is drawn from the parable of the talents, with the opening lines expressing the master's words to a faithful servant: "Lord, you entrusted me with five talents; behold, I have gained five more talents."
