About Dextera Domini
César Franck's Dextera Domini is a powerful sacred motet setting a Latin text from the Old Testament. The work is scored for a three-part choir of sopranos, tenors, and basses (STB). The lyrics, taken from Psalm 118, speak of God's mighty right hand which has brought strength and exaltation. The choir proclaims, "I shall not die, but live, and recount the deeds of the Lord."
