About Confitebor tibi Domine (a 6)
This setting of Psalm 110 (111) in Latin for SSATTB voices opens with a joyous declaration of praise. The text speaks of God's mighty works, his justice, mercy, and the covenant he made with his people. Gastoldi’s music captures the grandeur and faithfulness described in the psalm, offering a rich vocal experience for a six-part choir. The intricate interplay of the voices reflects the 'confessio et magnificentia' - confession and magnificence - of God’s works, creating a profound musical setting of sacred words.
