Full Lyrics

1. I have a beak and I have two wings And I live in a hutch and I peck at things; I really, really wish I could fly But I can't. Who are these men? Have they brought me food? Some nutrition in December does a pullet good, But they don't seem to care about me, 'cause I am just a chicken. They leave the town by the other road With their baggage emptied of the presents they'd stowed, Then the other humans pack their things And leave so fast you'd think they'd sprouted wings But my friends and I, we just Soldier! on, we eat the grain and we peck the corn And this is quite sufficient for me…
