"Praise God, Alleluia!" takes one of the most recognizable melodies in the world—Pachelbel’s Canon—and transforms it into a radiant choral anthem. Marymike Mordi sets the cascading, familiar chord progression to simple, joyful words of thanksgiving: "Alleluia," "Praise God," and "Amen."

Because it is written as a canon, the piece builds exactly the way we expect this classic to unfold. The basses lay down the steady, walking foundation, and then the tenors, altos, and sopranos enter one by one. As the voices layer on top of each other, the simple phrases weave together into a bright, overlapping chorus of praise.
