About C - 3. neděle adventní
This responsory for two voices, S and T, by Karel Bříza is suitable for Advent. The Czech text draws on Old Testament imagery of salvation and God's mighty deeds. The choir will find ample opportunity to express the joyful exclamations of the text, with its repeated calls to 'plesejte a jásejte' (rejoice and be glad) and its affirmations of God as 'má spása' (my salvation) and 'má síla' (my strength). The music follows the responsorial structure, with the choir taking up the refrain 'Odp.' after solo phrases, culminating in a final declaration of the holiness of Israel's God.
