Karel Bříza's responsory is set for two voices, Soprano and Tenor. This sacred work is in Czech and forms part of a larger liturgical cycle. The text, drawn from Psalm 96, calls for the proclamation of God's wonders and salvation among all nations, urging a celebration of his glory and might. It speaks of singing a new song to the Lord, spreading the news of his deeds, and acknowledging his reign and righteous rule over the peoples of the earth, inviting all to bow in his presence and offer him the praise due his name.
