Benedicta sit sancta Trinitas

This setting of a Latin text in praise of the Holy Trinity for three male voices opens with the TTB parts woven together in a rich, homophonic texture. The music moves with stately dignity, reflecting the solemnity of the words which begin with a blessing upon the Trinity and a declaration of God's mercy. The composer Giovanni Bonaventura Matucci sets the text with a clear, syllabic declamation that emphasizes the devotional message.
