Benedetto by Paolo Pandolfo — Lyrics
Benedetto sei Tu, Signore,
offro a Te ogni mia fatica.
Grano dorato che porge la terra,
raccogliamo i frutti che il Tuo Amore dona.

About Benedetto
This setting of Italian liturgical text offers a prayer of thanksgiving to God. The choir sings of offering their labours to the Lord and gratefully receiving the fruits of His love, likening them to golden grain offered by the earth and a fruitful vine that overcomes the stone. The SATB voicing allows for rich harmonies to underscore the sacred nature of the words. The repeated refrain "Benedetto Signore nei secoli" ('Blessed is the Lord for ever') provides a powerful and uplifting conclusion to this devotional work.
