Be Thankful by Kenneth Langer — Lyrics
Be thankful ever thankful.
How lifted is the heart that knows the gift of giving. How precious is the time when we gather all as one.
How peaceful is the soul that holds respect for every one. And for those who know not joy, are down trod or set apart; be thankful for the chance to give a gift of the heart so all may be... thankful.

About Be Thankful
Kenneth Langer's Be Thankful is a secular anthem for SATB choir, written in English. The text is a powerful meditation on gratitude, emphasizing the joy of giving, the peace found in mutual respect, and the importance of compassion for those less fortunate. It encourages thankfulness not only for life's simple pleasures, like light and companionship, but also for the legacy of those who have paved the way.
