About Balulalow
This gentle Christmas carol is suitable for SATB choirs. The text, a tender lullaby from the Scottish tradition, expresses profound devotion to the infant Jesus. The singer pledges to prepare a cradle for him in their spirit, to rock him in their heart, and to praise him evermore with sweet songs. The composer Douglas Walczak sets this devotional text with warmth and simplicity, creating a piece that evokes the intimacy and awe of the Nativity. Its sacred nature and Christmas theme make it an ideal addition to a choir's festive programming.
