About Ayudanos Maria
Angel Embil's Ayudanos Maria is a sacred anthem for SATB choir, sung in Spanish. The text is a heartfelt plea to the Virgin Mary, invoking her as Mother and celestial Virgin. The choir implores her to save them, to hear their prayers, and to intercede with her beloved son for forgiveness of sins. The lyrics express a deep yearning for peace, particularly on the last day, seeking Mary's help to attain it. Embil's setting likely captures the devotional and suppliant nature of this Marian antiphon, offering a moment of profound spiritual reflection for the choir and listeners.
