Atardecer

The composer Sergio Domingo creates a warm and inviting soundscape in this secular folk song. The SATB voices blend and weave, sometimes in homophony, sometimes with gentle imitative entries, to evoke the serene beauty of the evening. The Spanish lyrics speak of the sweetness of life in a beloved village, of flowery meadows and smiling fountains, and the tender affections that bloom under a divine sunset. The music reflects this pastoral idyll, with lyrical lines and a rich harmonic language that perfectly captures the tender emotions of a peaceful, romantic twilight.
