Angele Dei

Carlotta Ferrari sets the traditional Latin prayer to an angel. This sacred work is written for two-part women's voices (SA). The text, a plea for divine protection, asks the guardian angel to illuminate, guard, rule, and govern the singer, both day and night. The composer's setting likely reflects the devotional nature of the prayer, offering a musical space for contemplation and spiritual appeal. Ferrari's composition provides a straightforward yet expressive setting of this ancient supplication.
