Amen dico vobis

Jeffrey Quick sets a scriptural text from the Gospel of Mark for STB voices. The Latin words speak of faith and prayer: 'Amen I say to you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it, and it will be yours.' This short, powerful motet is ideal for communion or any devotional occasion. Quick's setting brings out the confident assurance of the text, creating a mood of reflection and devotion. The intimate STB voicing allows for clarity and warmth, making this an accessible yet profoundly moving piece for a choir looking to inspire their congregation.
