Almighty God, who hast given by Thomas Clark — Lyrics
Almighty God, who hast given us thy only begotten Son to take our nature upon him,

About Almighty God, who hast given
This anthem for SATB voices is a prayer for spiritual renewal, beseeching Almighty God for grace. The text, in English, asks that through the incarnation and birth of Jesus, we may be 'regenerate, and made thy children by adoption and grace'. It goes on to ask that 'we may daily be renewed by thy Holy Spirit', celebrating the ongoing presence of God. Thomas Clark's setting provides a devotional opportunity for mixed choirs, drawing on the rich tradition of English sacred music. The work is suitable for occasions marking new beginnings or seeking spiritual growth within a congregation.
