Allerdreifeiertagslied by Ludwig Erk — Lyrics
O du fröhliche, o du selige,
Gnadenbringende Weihnachtszeit!
Welt ging verloren, Christ ist geboren:
Freue, freue dich, o Christenheit!
O du fröhliche, o du selige,

About Allerdreifeiertagslied
This joyful SATB setting of Allerdreifeiertagslied rejoices in the three great Christian festivals: Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost. The German text celebrates the Incarnation, the Resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit, each time urging Christians to rejoice. Ludwig Erk's part-song is a perfect choice for a choir wanting to mark these significant occasions with music that is both celebratory and spiritually uplifting. Its clear, homophonic texture makes it accessible for choirs of varying abilities, while the text's inherent message of hope and salvation resonates powerfully.
