Lamb of God

This compilation sheet brings together three short, meditative pieces often used by Catholic choirs during the Communion rite or periods of Adoration. The primary piece is a bilingual "Lamb of God" (Agnus Dei) by Alexander Wilamowski, which pairs the traditional Latin invocation with its English translation. The gentle, flowing melody allows the congregation to easily join in the prayer for mercy and peace.

Alongside the Agnus Dei are two simple three-part canons: "Sing Praise" by Gerald S. Henderson and the widely known "Father I adore You" by Maranatha. Both canons focus on devotion to the Holy Trinity, addressing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in turn.

For choir directors, these short canons are highly practical tools for rehearsals and liturgies. They help singers practice part-independence and vocal blending, as each voice section enters sequentially to build a layered, harmonious sound. During Mass, they serve as excellent, flexible filler pieces that can be repeated as long as necessary while the priest prepares the altar or distributes Communion.
